Information
The session will provide a valuable platform to highlight and discuss the experiences, perspectives, and challenges associated with incorporating the expertise of people with a lived cancer experience in the policymaking process. Successful examples of participatory approaches from patient groups from various regions will be shared to showcase how commitments for a patient-centered healthcare and policies can be found on a global scale.
Through a combination of panel and group discussions, and building on WHO’s framework on meaningful engagement, participants will have the opportunity to explore how the engagement of people living with cancer should and can be effectively institutionalized.
