Information

As steward of the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control (the Strategy), the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (the Partnership) works to implement the Strategy and advance pan-Canadian priorities to improve cancer outcomes for all people in Canada. The partner network — cancer agencies, health system leaders and clinicians, and people affected by cancer — brings a wide variety of expertise to every aspect of our work. Together, we strive to achieve our shared 30-year goals: a future in which fewer people get cancer, more people survive cancer, those living with the disease have a better quality of life and people in Canada have equitable access to high-quality cancer care.

After more than 15 years of collaboration, we are accelerating work that promotes equity of access, experience and outcomes in cancer care for everyone in Canada with focus on First Nations, Inuit and Métis, and equity-deserving populations. We continue to support our partners and the post-pandemic healthcare system to foster resilience to new and emerging challenges, and implement effective and efficient models of care.

The Partnership was created by the federal government in 2006 to move the Strategy into action and receives ongoing funding from Health Canada to continue supporting partners from across Canada.
